I suppose everybody goes through this stage when they first get their hands on a digital camera. I've been taking it with me and just trying to capture every interesting thing I come across. Well, I find frozen and semi-frozen puddles really interesting, especially when they represent our dashed hopes for an early February snow.

From your Mother - Nice pictures. Where did you take them? What water? It's colder there than it is here in Seattle.
I think you should take the fish outside to play on the icy pond. They only call them "tropical fish"- you have a good eye for the camera to work with. d
Hey Mom.
The water in the picture is just a puddle near the tennis courts. You remember where that is? I found that when I cropped the picture in a certain way, it looked like a decent sized pond, that is if you immagine the coffe cup as a huge barrel...
But then again some people thought that piece of half-eaten cheese cake was a piece of chicken!
Hi David.
We did actually put some goldfish in there before the freeze-over.
Now before you go complain to your LGFLFB (liberal gold fish lovers for Bush) people in Olympia, let me say that quite a few people in my neighborhood keep gold fish in outdoor ponds all year round. So its evidently a viable enviorment for them.

great photos. I knew they were taken in Efrat!
BTW: which digital camera did you end up getting? We're in the market.....
